For the KIKS TYO GRAPHKIKS series, we gathered a wide cross section of Japanese and internatonal artists and designers to present their work unified under the common themes KIKS TYO is known for: Sneakers, Girls, humor and color.
Since BOKS-KUN first broke out of the mind of NYC based artist JOR and into Tokyo, he’s become the go-to mascot for KIKS TYO, greeting supporters from around the world at the entrance to our Shibuya Head Shop.
This August, BOKS-KUN finally comes to life as a soft vinyl figure. Manufactured by renowned Japanese toy maker glamsenses, each 1st series BOKS-KUN figure comes specially packaged in a custom made sneaker box. Available in ORANGE or BLUE (50 pcs worldwide).

We always look forward to our seasonal exhibitions, which go down prior to the release of every Spring, Summer and Autumn/Winter collection. Not only are they the first real live looks we get at the KIKS TYO collections as a whole, but friends and family from across Japan and around the globe come through to preview and critique what we’ve been working on, kick stories about what they’ve been up to or just lounge with the crew. This time around was no different.
Our man Darin Maki stopped by today, fresh off the plane from Paris, where he was invited to rep Japan and play at the Jordan brand sponsored, international street-ball tournament, QUAI 54.
D brought back stories that ranged from QUAI54 player exclusive Jordans and Fat Joe, to the Louvre Museum and riding busses through Paris with Basketball royalty. He said a few heads were hawking his gear out there too…

A few weeks back, the Karmaloop crew came to Japan and documented their entire whirlwind trip on video. The footage premiers this week exclusively on KarmaloopTV as part of a weeklong series dubbed “Japan Week” .
